What is KVPY ?

The KVPY stands for Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana. The KVPY is a scholarship program started by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. The purpose of KVPY is to identify and encourage the talented students with aptitude research.

Who can apply for KVPY 2010 ?

KVPY is for three category of Students as given below.

  • Category – I : The students who have enrolled in XI, XII, BSc / MSc Integrated (I & II Year)
  • Category – II : The students who are enrolled in I/II year in Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Archaeology (B.Arch).
  • Category – III : The students who are enrolled in MBBS in I/II year

What is the amount of stipend ?

The amount of stipend is Rs. 4000-7000/- for category I, Rs. 5000-7000/- for Category II and Rs. 5000-7000/- to category III.

Mode of Selection : The Department of Science & Technology will conduct the aptitude test for selection of candidates for award of scholarship to SA, SB & SB+2 category.
